Internet companies are not anyone's relatives. Many internet companies provide free services which are not free. You may think that you are taking services for free but the reality is that you are giving them data (your information) in exchange for services.

Now Facebook has made a big deal and this deal is not about any goods, but about your data. Facebook has entered into a partnership with Netflix under which there is an agreement for data in exchange for private messages. Under this partnership, Facebook will give the data of private chats of its Messenger users to Netflix and in return Netflix will give the data of its users to Facebook.

This became apparent after discovering a document. This information is made public in the wake of Meta's decision to close its streaming division. In April of last year, original series like Red Table Talk also debuted on Facebook Watch. Meta had made the decision to give up on streaming.

This deal between Facebook and Netflix was allegedly completed in 2013, according to the leaked document. Facebook Messenger chats are end-to-end encrypted, according to a previous statement from Meta. Since 2019, Netflix has raised the amount it spends annually on Facebook advertising to $150 million. Facebook Watch was shut down, and it's thought that Netflix is also to blame.
