On Thursday, Instagram introduced a new way for creators to earn, called "Testimonials". This is a new form of partnership advertising, where a brand works with a creator to promote its product or service. Such ads will appear on the creator's Instagram handle as videos or text only.
According to a blog post released by Meta, Testimonials is a new partnership ad format designed specifically for text-only promotions. It facilitates brand promotion in short and less than 125 characters of text.
Creators can also write a short promo about the brand, and the brand can attach the same to the ad. This ad shall be pinned at the starting point of the post, and the tag 'Sponsored' shall be added to the ad, indicating the ad to be a sponsored ad.
