New information came out about Vande Bharat train, Railway Minister gave a big update about the speed
Vande Bharat: Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav told Parliament that the maximum speed of the Vande Bharat train can be 180 km/h, but due to security and technical reasons, it does not run at full speed. The condition of railway routes and the signaling system also determine its speed.

The Vande Bharat train has turned into the preferred choice of travelers these days. The train is regularly in the news for swiftness and convenience. The Vande Bharat train can be operated at a speed of 180 km per hour, but it never operates at full speed.
A question was also raised in Parliament about why the Vande Bharat train does not run at full speed? Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav also answered this.
The Railway Minister said in his written reply that Vande Bharat train has been designed to run at a speed of 180 km per hour in that way., but it currently runs at a maximum speed of 160 km per hour. There are many reasons for this. The Railway Minister said that the speed of any train depends on the design and maintenance of the track and the next station on the route.
He said that in the last 10 years, a lot of work has been done to increase the speed of trains by upgrading the railway tracks. The speed of the tracks has also improved to a great extent. More than 78 percent of the tracks in the country have now been upgraded for speeds of 110 kmph and above.
Rajya Sabha member Fauzia Khan had asked the Railway Minister about the speed of Vande Bharat. He had requested that the average speed of Vande Bharat during 2020-21 was 84.48 kmph, and it fell to 76.25 kmph during 2023-24. Does the government have this data? The Railway Minister replied to this question elaborately. At the same time, he informed that the tracks are being upgraded even more to raise the speed.
It is worth noting that the Vande Bharat train was started in the year 2019. Currently, a total of 140 Vande Bharat trains are running on various routes in the country. There are preparations to launch Vande Bharat trains on some more routes in the coming days.
