Modi will be the star face of BJP in every state, state leadership fails in survey

The BJP is gearing up for the upcoming elections. All the assembly elections to be held till 2023 will be fought under collective leadership. According to the strategy, the name of the Chief Minister will not be projected in any state. However, the incumbent Chief Ministers may get a chance to continue as CM even after winning the election. Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh have elections later this year. Whereas assembly elections are to be held in Karnataka, Tripura, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh next year.
There is a BJP government in Himachal, Gujarat, Tripura and Madhya Pradesh. Recently, after the reorganization of the Parliamentary Board, it was agreed by the top leaders that there is an anti-incumbency in the leadership of the ruling states. There is a lack of coordination at the organizational level. In such a situation, there is a need to avoid the option of contesting elections under the leadership of the current Chief Ministers.
A senior BJP leader told that the current Chief Ministers are also of the same opinion that only the PM should have a face in the assembly elections. The narrative of better delivery should be set by the ruling state government of the central schemes. This message should be given to the voters of the states, double engine government led by Modi is a better choice.
A party general secretary said collective leadership does not mean that the CM will be changed if voted to power. Maybe the incumbent CM should be given a second chance, as happened in Goa or Uttarakhand.
Even in the states where BJP is in opposition, the party will fight elections under the collective leadership with the face of Modi. Sources say that in the internal survey of the party, there is no current CM whose popularity is above 25 percent, while the popularity graph of PM Modi is above 75 percent. In such a situation, the party would not like to take any risk by projecting its face to any current CM.
