National Farmers’ Day: ₹4,000 Cr Benefits Announced at Rajasthan State-Level Farmers’ Conference

In connection with National Farmers' Day, the State Level Advanced Farming - Prosperous Farmers' Conference has been organized on this day in Dangawas, Merta City, in the district of Nagaur. This conference will be presided over by the Chief Minister of the State, Bhajan Lal Sharma. It will be attended by the Union Minister of Rural Development, Agriculture, Farmer Welfare Shivraj Singh Chouhan as the chief guest.

More than 25,000 farmers from various parts of the state are taking part in the conference, of which around 12,000 farmers belong to Nagaur. Important gifts will be given away during this time, which will be of great relief to the farmers. More than ₹2,000 crores of projects will be sanctioned for the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. Additionally, an amount of ₹1,200 crores will be given to the farmers. Furthermore, direct benefits of ₹200 crore will be transferred to 31,600 farmers under the Agriculture and Horticulture Schemes, ₹700 crore to 500,000 farmers under the Agricultural Inputs Subsidy Scheme, ₹100 crore to 18,500 beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural), and ₹200 crore to 450,000 livestock farmers under the Chief Minister's Milk Producer Support Scheme.

Development works worth ₹351 crore will also be inaugurated and foundation stones laid specifically for Nagaur district. Agriculture, Rural Development, Disaster Management and Relief Minister Dr. Kirori Lal Meena, along with several senior officials and public representatives, will be present at the event. According to Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma's schedule, he will arrive at Kishangarh Airport from New Delhi at 11:40 am, from where he will reach Dangawas helipad by helicopter at 12:05 pm. The Chief Minister will address the conference from 1 pm to 2:30 pm and then depart for Jaipur at 2:40 pm.

This state-level conference is being organized to commemorate the completion of two years of the state government, where agricultural subsidies, animal husbandry assistance, and benefits from various public welfare schemes will be distributed. National Farmers' Day is celebrated on the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh, a leader who fought lifelong for the rights and interests of farmers. This event is expected to instill new hope in the state's farmers and strengthen the agricultural sector.
