Mohammed Shami Likely to Return as India Names ODI Squad Against New Zealand
IND vs NZ ODI Probable Squad: The Indian team will be announced today, January 3rd, for the ODI series against New Zealand. Veteran fast bowler Mohammed Shami's return to the squad is almost certain. Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya have been rested for the series.
The tour of New Zealand in India is scheduled to take place from January 11th. A total of three ODIs and five T20s will take place between the Indian and New Zealand teams. The Indian squad for the T20s has already been named. This is the same squad that will be appearing in the World Cup. The Indian squad for the ODI matches will be named today, January 3rd. Kishan has recently earned a place in the team with his explosive batting in domestic cricket. Kishan has also scored a double century in ODIs.
Captain Shubman Gill, who was ruled out of the last ODI series due to injury, is returning to the team. He is ready to lead the team once again. Dhruv Jurel may have to vacate his place. Meanwhile, Tilak Varma may also be sidelined. Furthermore, fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah and all-rounder Hardik Pandya have been rested for this series.
