A sensational case of abducting a minor girl from her home and raping her has come to light in Kerala. A minor girl was allegedly abducted on Thursday (September 7) in central Kerala's Aluva area. After abducting the minor, she was sexually assaulted and left in a paddy field. The victim has undergone surgery following the injuries sustained in the brutal incident.

Kerala Police said that the person suspected of abducting and sexually assaulting a minor girl has been identified by the victim and a search is on for him. A senior police officer of the district told the media that according to a preliminary investigation, the suspect is a resident of Kerala.

"However, only after arresting the accused, we can confirm which part of Kerala he belongs to. We have got leads and we are following up on them and the search is on," the official said. Police said the victim has been admitted to the Government Medical College Hospital in Kalamassery. At the same time, it has been said in the statement that the health condition of the victim is now stable.

Police said, "The victim has suffered some injuries in her private parts. She is undergoing surgery. The suspect has been identified by the victim and the accused will be arrested as soon as possible." Meanwhile, a local resident told a TV channel that he had seen the suspect walking with the girl near his house at around 2.15 a.m.

A local resident said, "I woke up to go to the toilet amidst the rain, I looked outside to see a man and a girl passing by amidst the heavy rain." The eyewitness, however, said that he was not able to identify the suspect from the CCTV video shown by the police, but could identify the person if seen from the front. At the same time, the police have also released suspicious visuals of the incident to the media.
