As per the Meteorological Department, the possibility of storms and thunderstorms in the evening is likely to prevail in the state for the next 4-5 days.

There are chances of rain in some areas of eastern Rajasthan's Bharatpur today. There will be heat waves in western Rajasthan today too. Orange alert has been declared in Barmer and Jaisalmer for gusting hot winds.

In the last 24 hours, the maximum temperature in 13 cities of the state remained below 40 degrees. Phalodi was the hottest city. The maximum temperature here was recorded at 45.4 degrees Celsius, although on Saturday, the maximum temperature here was recorded at around 48 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department says that the mercury will rise again here in the next 24 to 48 hours. In the capital, Jaipur, the temperature has decreased by 3 degrees as compared to Saturday. The maximum temperature here was recorded at 38.8 degrees. According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature is expected to rise in the capital Jaipur in the next few days.
