Kia India has performed well since its entry into the domestic auto market and the company has earned a good reputation among Indians. First with its Seltos SUV and later with its Sonet compact SUV, the company has created a good customer base. Kia is going to introduce the new Sonet in the Indian market soon. Come, let us know about it.

The Kia Sonet is expected to come with subtle but significant design updates on the exterior. Some details of Sonet facelift have been revealed, although these are not official. The new Kia Sonet SUV is expected to come with an updated headlamp cluster with a redesigned motif for the LED daytime running lights.

As the leaked image shows, there are no changes to the grille of this SUV, but the headlamps have been updated. However, some changes have been made to the bumper. The rear profile of the car is expected to come with redesigned taillights and a connected LED lightbar, which is one of the trendiest styling elements in modern cars. The India-spec Sonet facelift is expected to get redesigned alloy wheels.

The Kia Sonet facelift is also expected to come with an updated cabin, which will include new features. Along with many cosmetic changes, updated features will also be available inside the cabin. The touchscreen infotainment system and instrument cluster will be updated, and there may also be some additional digitization. It is also going to get new safety features.

The Kia Sonet facelift is likely to continue with the same engine options offered in the existing model. The new Sonet will get a 1.2-litre petrol engine, which will be equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission. It will have a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, which will be available with a 6-speed iMT, 6-speed automatic, or 7-speed DCT gearbox.

Its second engine will be a 1.5-litre diesel unit, which will come with iMT gearbox or automatic options. These engines are expected to deliver similar power and torque outputs as the current model. There is expected to be a slight improvement in their fuel efficiency.
