'Kerala is on the verge of ruin', claims BJP leader KJ Alphons - State going through very bad economic condition
Kerala BJP leader KJ Alphons has claimed about the economic condition of Kerala that the state is passing through a very bad economic condition. Also, he has claimed that Kerala has taken the maximum loan in the country. He said that since the year 2019, additional DA could not be paid to 70 thousand pensioners. No state can run like this.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader from Kerala KJ Alphons said on Saturday that the financial condition of the state of Kerala is very bad and the state has the highest debt in the country.
Speaking to news agency ANI, KJ Alphons said, "Kerala is in a very bad state economically. It is a ruin financially. There is no money to pay a pension. Additional Dearness Allowance (DA) received by 70,000 pensioners have died without it since 2019. Kerala has taken the highest debt in the country. How can a state survive like this?" "The Kerala government is continuously taking loans and putting a heavy burden on the future generations of the state," he said.
Earlier on Friday, Kerala Finance Minister KN Balagopal had said that the state is not getting its revenue share from the Centre. He said, "Kerala is facing financial sanctions from the Centre. Kerala is paying around 70 per cent revenue to the Center and less than 30 per cent revenue is coming from the Centre. There is a huge disparity and it is discrimination." "
