IPL 2025: Shubman Gill made this big record in his name, the only batsman to do so in IPL

Gujarat Titans (GT) captain Shubhman Gill achieved a milestone on Saturday in the ninth match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 against Mumbai Indians (MI). He became the first player to have scored a thousand IPL runs at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Gill did this in just 20 innings, and he is the second-fastest player to get a thousand IPL runs at a single ground. The only player ahead of him is Chris Gayle, who got to this mark in 19 innings at Bengaluru's Chinnaswamy Stadium. The other players in this list are David Warner, who in 22 innings got to a thousand runs at Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.

Gill's supremacy in Ahmedabad can be measured from his record of three centuries and four half-centuries in 20 innings. His innings in Saturday's match, however, were cut short by 38 runs when he was caught out by Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya at deep square leg by Naman Dheer.
