Instagram bug? AI images of people appearing on the timeline

Users saw a new feature on Instagram that confused them whether it was a new feature or a bug. According to the report, Instagram has started testing a new feature, in which with the help of Meta's AI, AI pictures of users appear on the timeline. When a Reddit user told about this feature, he saw himself in a wonderful landscape like a "maze of mirrors". This picture was not an advertisement but appeared as personal content on his timeline.

The Reddit user said that he had previously uploaded his selfie on Meta's AI-powered "Imagine" tool. The tool lets users create AI-edited versions of their photos, though users were shocked when they saw the tool automatically create a photo for them that resembled a "maze of mirrors" and added it to their feed with a funny caption like "reflecting on life."

Many called it fake or accused the post of being AI-generated. Later, it was confirmed by Meta that it was no joke. According to the company, this AI-generated content is not an advertisement, but a feature that was launched in September. It aims to create personalized content based on users' interests or trends.
