India vs Pakistan T20 World Cup Clash on Feb 15 Amid Uncertainty Over PCB Decision
ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026: After Bangladesh's exit from the T20 World Cup, Pakistan has been continuously threatening to withdraw from the tournament, but to date, it has neither withdrawn nor confirmed whether its team will participate.
The match between India and Pakistan in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 is scheduled for February 15th. The match between India and Pakistan is set to be played at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. However, the confirmation of Pakistan's participation in the ICC tournament is yet to be made. Rashid Latif, a former wicketkeeper-batsman of Pakistan, has made a significant statement on this issue.
He clearly stated that it is too late for Pakistani cricket and it is not possible for them to withdraw from the tournament. He also suggested a new way to protest against the exclusion of Bangladesh from the tournament. Rashid Latif, while talking on his YouTube channel, clearly stated that if the government declares that it will no longer play cricket with India, then persuasion from the ICC would be necessary. If this is not done, the situation could worsen. Latif also said that the Pakistan team will not play India.
However, he later added that Pakistan should have withdrawn from the tournament at the same time Bangladesh was eliminated. Speaking further on the matter, he said that the time has passed. There is a right time for every decision. The iron must be struck while it is hot, and that time passed last week.
It should be noted that after Bangladesh's exit from the T20 World Cup, Pakistan had been continuously threatening to withdraw from the tournament, but so far, it has neither withdrawn nor confirmed whether its team will play. PCB chief and chairman Mohsin Naqvi has stated that a final decision will be made by February 2nd. Let us tell you that Pakistan has to play its first match in this T20 World Cup on 7 February.
