The third of the five Test matches of India vs England under the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy will be held from 10-14 July at Lord's Cricket Ground, London. Keeping in mind this match, the England and Wales Cricket Board has added fast bowler Gus Atkinson to the team. The declaration came following India's massive 336-run victory over the home side in the second Test at Edgbaston in Birmingham on Sunday, which has tied the series being contested between the two nations at 1-1.

Gus Atkinson was sidelined from the first two Tests of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy with a hamstring strain during England's single Test against Zimbabwe in May. The Surrey and England bowler has won the hearts of the selectors by taking 55 wickets in his 12 Tests so far at an average of 22.30.

Gus Atkinson also has an impressive record at Lord's Cricket Ground in London. He has taken 10 wickets in the two Tests played here, where he averages 10.22. In his last match at this ground against Sri Lanka, he took a total of seven wickets (including 7 wickets in the second innings) and scored his first first-class century. Gus Atkinson's return to the England team after England's poor performance at Edgbaston will strengthen the fast bowling. Apart from the trio of Chris Woakes, Josh Tongue and Brydon Carse, who played in Birmingham, England have Jofra Archer, Sam Cook and Jamie Overton in reserve.

England squad for Lord's Test: Ben Stokes (captain), Ollie Pope, Joe Root, Ben Duckett, Zak Crawley, Harry Brook, Jamie Smith, Jacob Bethell, Chris Woakes, Jofra Archer, Brydon Carse, Shoaib Bashir, Gus Atkinson, Josh Tongue, Jamie Overton, Sam Cook
