Indian team opener Ruturaj Gaikwad made a big achievement in the fourth T20 International match played against Australia in Raipur on Friday. Gaikwad scored 32 runs in 28 balls with the help of three fours and one six in the fourth T20.

Ruturaj Gaikwad has become the fastest batsman to complete 4000 runs in T20 cricket. Before Gaikwad, this record was in the name of KL Rahul. Gaikwad completed 4000 runs in 116 innings while Rahul completed this figure in 117 innings.

West Indies' legendary batsman Chris Gayle holds the record for completing 4000 runs in the fewest innings in T20 cricket. Gayle, popularly known as Universe Boss, had crossed the 4000-run mark in just 107 innings. The names of former Australian batsman Shaun Marsh (113), former Pakistan captain Babar Azam (115), and New Zealand opener Devon Conway (116) come after Gayle.

The Indian team batted first in the match played at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium and scored 174 runs by losing 9 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. In reply, the Australian team could score 154 runs after losing seven wickets in 20 overs.

With this victory, India captured the five-match T20 International series 3-1. The Suryakumar Yadav-led Indian team won the first two matches, but then Australia kept their hopes alive in the series by winning the thrilling third T20. The fifth T20 International match between India and Australia will be played in Bengaluru on Sunday, which is merely a formal one.
