Hurt by poor performance in Telangana board exam, 7 students commit suicide, police informed

Seven intermediate students have been reported to have allegedly committed suicide across Telangana in the last 48 hours due to failure in examinations.

Telangana Board of Intermediate Examination had declared the results of the first year and second year on April 24.

According to the Mahabubabad Superintendent of Police, two girls allegedly committed suicide after failing the examination. In a village in the district, one student hanged herself at her residence and another jumped into a well.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Eastern Zone) R Giridhar said a first-year student allegedly committed suicide within Sultanbazar police station limits after failing the examination.

The body of another boy, who lived in the city's Nallakunta neighborhood, was discovered close to a railway track in Jadcherla. The authorities surmise that his subpar exam results were the cause of his demise.

Three intermediate first-year students have reportedly committed suicide at various locations as a result of failing their exams, according to a senior police officer in the Mancherial district.
