Huawei Mate X6 was launched in China. It is the latest foldable smartphone of the company. This book-style foldable phone has a 7.93-inch main display and a 6.45-inch outer display. Huawei Mate X6 is available in five color options. This phone is IPX8-rated for dust and water resistance. Currently, the company has not shared any information about the processor of this phone. However, it has been learnt that this phone comes fitted with a Kirin 9100 processor. It has been launched in two variants - standard and Collector's Edition. The latter edition has triple-network satellite support. It also has a bigger battery.
The Huawei Mate X6 comes in 12GB+256GB for CNY 12,999 approximately Rs 1,50,000 and the top of the line 512GB model for CNY 13,999 approximately Rs 1,64,000. Meanwhile, the Huawei Mate X6 Collector's Edition commands a price of CNY 14,999 - approximately Rs 1,75,000 - for the variant with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, while the variant with up to 1TB storage option costs CNY 15,999 approximately Rs 1,85,000. It has come in Cosmic Red, Deep Sea Blue, Nebula White, Nebula Gray, and Obsidian Black shades.
The Huawei Mate X6 runs HarmonyOS 4.3 and features a 7.93-inch (2,440x2,240 pixels) internal OLED display with 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming and a touch sampling rate of up to 240 Hz. The handset also features a 6.45-inch (1,080x2,440 pixels) quad-curved OLED external screen with 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming and a touch sampling rate of up to 300Hz. Both the main and cover displays have adaptive refresh rates ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz. The screen also features Kunlun Glass protection. The Huawei Mate X6 Collector's Edition features second-generation basalt-tempered Kunlun Glass protection.
Processor details are not revealed for the new Huawei foldable. However, a number of speculations is going on. It is largely expected to be the latest Kirin 9100. The Huawei Mate X6 has 12 GB RAM and is available with options of 256 GB and 512 GB storage. Similarly, the Mate X6 Collector's Edition comes with 16 GB of onboard RAM. It has been released with 512 GB and 1 TB storage options. Besides that, Collector's Edition even allows triple-network satellite support.
The rear of the phone, for photography, has a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera with OIS support, a 40-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 48-megapixel telephoto macro camera. At the front, selfies are handled by dual 8-megapixel cameras installed on both the inner and outer displays.
The Huawei Mate X6 houses a 5,110mAh battery supporting 66W wired fast charging, up to 50W wireless fast charging, and 7.5W wireless reverse charging. The Huawei Mate X6 Collector's Edition would boast a 5,200mAh battery and is said to measure about 239 grams in weight.
