HMD Launches Two New Smartwatches With Bluetooth Calling and Health Tracking
HMD Global has launched its first wearables, the HMD Watch X1 and Watch P1. They feature Bluetooth calling and over 700 activity modes. The premium X1 features a 1.43-inch AMOLED display with IP68 resistance, while the versatile P1 offers a larger 1.83-inch LCD and IP67 durability. Both focus on health and connectivity.



HMD Global is also entering the wearables market, and the company has launched two new smartwatches, namely the HMD Watch X1 and the HMD Watch P1. The HMD Watch X1 comes with a circular dial and a 1.43-inch AMOLED display. The smartwatch is claimed to have a battery life of five days on a single charge. The HMD Watch P1, on the other hand, comes with a rectangular dial and a larger 1.83-inch LCD display. The smartwatch is claimed to have a battery life of four days on a single charge. The HMD Watch X1 is IP68 rated, whereas the HMD Watch P1 is IP67 rated. Both smartwatches have over 700 activity modes, remote health tracking, and ICE call assistance. They also support Bluetooth calling, allowing users to make and receive calls directly from the watch without their smartphone.
HMD Global has not yet revealed pricing and availability details for the HMD Watch X1 and HMD Watch P1. The Watch X1 was released in Gray Green, Black, Gray Metallic, and Silver Leather color options, while the HMD Watch P1 is available in Black and Silver.
The HMD Watch X1 features a 1.43-inch AMOLED display with a 466x466 pixel resolution and 600 nits of brightness. The circular display supports Always-On Display. It has an IP68 rating, and users can pair it with a smartphone over Bluetooth using the HMD Watch app. When connected to a handset, it offers Bluetooth calling, allowing users to make and receive calls without removing their phone.
