At the same time, in view of the flood-like situation, Indian Navy aircraft, flood relief teams and diving teams have been deployed from the Eastern Naval Command in Visakhapatnam to enhance humanitarian assistance and disaster relief efforts in the state.

10 flood relief teams also deployed for rescue

At the same time, four helicopters (2 ALH and 2 Chetak) and a Dornier aircraft have been deployed to carry out search and rescue operations in the affected areas in the state. So far 22 stranded personnel have been rescued and more than 1000 kg of food has been airdropped for the stranded persons. 10 flood relief teams have also been deployed to enhance rescue efforts. While rescue teams with additional naval assets and related gear have been kept on standby to provide necessary help.

6 MI-17 helicopters deployed along with Chetak helicopters

In this episode, 6 MI-17 helicopters along with two Chetak helicopters of the Indian Air Force have been deployed to drop relief material in the flood-affected areas of Andhra Pradesh. According to the Air Force officer, 50,000 kg of relief material has been dropped in the NTR district of the state.

CM Naidu visits flood-affected areas

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu visited the flood-affected areas of Vijayawada. On the flood situation in the state, Andhra Pradesh Municipal Corporation Minister Narayan said, the water level is decreasing. Today afternoon we supplied 8.5 lakh packets of food. People are asking for milk, and today evening we will supply 10 lakh packets of milk and similarly tomorrow morning also 10 lakh packets of milk will be made available. The next phase is of cleanliness. The Municipal Corporation has arranged 10,000 sanitation workers as we have to clean the roads, at present all areas are being monitored with 30 drones.

Heavy damage in Khammam and Mehboobabad of Telangana

On the other hand, giving information about the flood situation in Telangana, Union Minister G Kishan Reddy said, due to floods, there has been heavy damage in Khammam and Mehboobabad areas of Telangana. Water has entered people's houses, PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah spoke to the CM of Telangana and assured him of providing necessary assistance.

He further said that BJP workers are also providing relief material to the flood-affected people, after the report is submitted to the central government by the state government, central government officials will reach to provide necessary assistance.
