Election Commission will complete the tour of electoral states before October, dates will be announced soon

The Election Commission will complete its tour of five election states before October. After this, there is a possibility of announcing the schedule of assembly elections in these states.

In fact, Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar and Election Commissioners Anup Chandra Pandey and Arun Goyal have visited Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Mizoram to assess the election preparations and will visit Rajasthan and Telangana in late September or early October. After these tours, the Election Commission can announce the election schedule in these states.

It is common for the Commission to visit election-bound states before the announcement of elections. Assembly elections are likely to be held in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Mizoram, and Rajasthan in October-November.

The tenure of the assembly in Mizoram is ending on December 17 this year. Whereas in Telangana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, the tenure of the Assembly is ending on different dates in January next year.
