An earthquake of magnitude 3.4 hit Nongpoh in Meghalaya on Thursday afternoon. Through the official X handle (Twitter) of the National Center for Seismology, it was informed that the epicenter of the earthquake was 40 km away from Nongpoh at a depth of 10 km.

According to the National Center for Seismology, the epicenter of the earthquake was 49 km southeast of Cherrapunji in Meghalaya. Its center was at a depth of 16 kilometers from the Earth.
