Deepti Sharma, a member of the Indian cricket team that created history by winning the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup 2025 on November 2, visited the Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain on Sunday morning. She attended the morning Bhasma Aarti. She visited Lord Mahakaleshwar during the Aarti and, after the rituals, thanked Baba Mahakal for the prosperity of the country and the success of Team India. Notably, Deepti played a significant role in Team India's success in the World Cup, not only with the ball but also with the bat whenever needed.

Deepti Sharma reached the temple on Sunday morning and participated in the traditional Aarti and offered her prayers with devotion. During the Aarti, a crowd of devotees gathered in the temple premises and warmly welcomed the Indian team player. After the darshan, the temple committee welcomed Deepti Sharma. She was presented with Lord Mahakaleshwar's Prasad, a sacred garment, and a memento. It's worth noting that when Team India was losing consecutive matches in the World Cup, the Indian team visited the Mahakaleshwar Temple mid-tournament to seek the Lord's blessings.

After visiting the Mahakaleshwar Temple, Team India returned to winning ways and remained undefeated. After defeating Australia in the semi-finals, Team India won the World Cup for the first time by defeating South Africa in the final. Deepti Sharma scored 58 runs in the final match and took five wickets. For her outstanding performance with both bat and ball throughout the tournament, Deepti Sharma was named Player of the Tournament.

After the title win, Deepti had said, "Honestly, it feels like a dream. It feels great that I could contribute like this in the World Cup final. We have always thought about how we can use the learnings from every match. As a team, we are very happy. I always enjoy whatever situation I am in. I wanted to play according to the situation. I had a lot of fun. What could be a more amazing feeling than performing here as an all-rounder."
