Five-time champions Chennai Super Kings were beaten by Delhi in their home on Saturday. This is Chennai's second consecutive defeat in their own place and the third defeat of the season. Chennai Super Kings captain Ruturaj Gaikwad was seen in such a state of disappointment after Chennai lost to Delhi Capitals. Disappointment can be seen clearly in his words.

Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad of Chennai Super Kings, who got defeated by 25 runs against Delhi Capitals in the IPL match, stated that the game was not in our favor in the past three matches. We are working to improve in the last few matches but it is not happening.

Ruturaj Gaikwad said after the match, "Powerplay is not going well for us. We are giving 15-20 runs more while bowling in the powerplay. Also, we are losing many wickets continuously while batting. I feel like we are coming under a little more pressure or we are trying a little more."

He said, "I think we are very worried or unsure about who will come to bowl in the powerplay. We lost wickets in the first or second over itself. We are getting very worried about the things happening in the powerplay. Everyone needs to perform well together. We were always playing catch-up games since the powerplay. We have Ashwin at number 8, Overton was not there. We wanted to take the match to the end. Delhi bowled really well. Even when Shivam was batting, we were looking for momentum, but we could not get it."

Delhi scored 183 runs for six wickets while batting first and then chased the target and restricted Chennai Super Kings to 158 runs for five wickets to win by 25 runs. Chennai suffered their third consecutive defeat in IPL 2025.
