Skoda Kushaq Onyx Edition launched in India

Skoda Auto India has launched the new limited edition Onyx of its popular Kushaq in the mid-size SUV segment in India. The new edition is based on the range-topping Style trim level and gets cosmetic updates to its design. The 1.0-litre TSI engine has been added to the car, while other features remain the same as the current model. It has received a 5-star safety rating in the Global NCAP crash test.
The Skoda Kushaq Onyx Edition gets crystalline LED headlamps with DRLs which were earlier only available on the Ambition and above trims. It also gets front fog lamps with static cornering function, rear wiper and defogger, new wheel covers and Onyx badges. The interiors of the car include a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control and safety equipment including dual front airbags, TPMS, and ESC.
The Onyx Edition of the Skoda Kushaq is powered by a TSI-based 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine that generates 114 bhp power and 178 Nm peak torque. This engine is tuned with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The regular variant of the Kushaq, on the other hand, gets multiple engine and transmission options.
