India's foreign exchange reserves rose by $2.703 billion to $698.192 billion during the week ending July 25. The total reserves had decreased by $1.183 billion to $695.489 billion in the previous reporting week. The Reserve Bank of India provided this information on Friday.

According to the data, foreign exchange assets, a key component of foreign exchange reserves, increased by $1.316 billion to $588.926 billion. Foreign currency assets also include the effects of fluctuations in other currencies like the euro, pound, and yen against the dollar.

The RBI stated that during this week, gold reserves grew by $1.206 billion to $85.704 billion. The central bank also said that Special Drawing Rights (SDR) increased by $126 million to $18.809 billion. Additionally, India's reserve position in the International Monetary Fund (IMF) rose by $55 million to $4.753 billion.
