After the T20, ODI and Test series on the South Africa tour, the Indian team will now play a three-match T20 series against Afghanistan. This series will be hosted by India from 11 to 17 January. Afghanistan Cricket Board has announced its 19-member squad for this series. Whereas Team India can be announced today on 7th January. Regular captain Rashid Khan has returned to the team, but in this series, Ibrahim Zadran has been given the command of the team in his place. Meanwhile, news is also coming that it is difficult for Rashid Khan to play even a single match.

Rashid Khan recently went to England and got his back surgery done. At present, he is recovering from his injury. The selectors have given him a place in the team, but he may not play a single match in the 3-match series against India. Only after seeing his fitness will a decision be taken on his inclusion in the playing eleven.

Rashid Khan is a match-winning player in Afghanistan. He can change the course of the match with spin bowling and can also create havoc with the bat in the lower order. If they could not play any match against India then it would be no less than a big blow for Afghanistan. The first match of this T20 series will be played on January 11 in Mohali, the second match on January 14 in Indore and the third T20 on January 17 in Bengaluru.

Afghanistan's 19-member squad: Ibrahim Zadran (captain), Rehmanullah Gurbaz (wk), Hazratullah Zazai, Rahmat Shah, Ikram Alikhil (wk), Najibullah Zadran, Mohammad Nabi, Karim Janat, Rashid Khan, Mujeeb ur Rehman, Azmullah Omarzai, Sharafuddin Ashraf, Fazal Haq Farooqui, Farid Ahmed, Naveen Ul Haq, Mohammad Saleem, Qais Ahmed, Gulbadin Naib and Noor Ahmed.
