BCCI starts preparations for IPL auction amid World Cup, auction will be held in Dubai; know the date

World Cup 2023 is almost half over and the Indian team has performed well so far. Amidst this mega tournament, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has also started preparing for next year's Indian Premier League (IPL). A roadmap is being prepared for the auction of players for the next season of IPL and according to reports, this auction can be held in Dubai.

The auction of both IPL and Women's Premier League (WPL) leagues can be conducted in the month of December after the World Cup. The IPL auction will be held in Dubai. BCCI is finalizing its plans for this. The board can organize the auction between December 15 and 19. Although no official information has been given to the franchises, there is talk that the IPL auction will be held in Dubai.

The trading window is currently open. However, till now there has been no information about exchange of players between IPL franchises. It is believed that soon the list of retained and released players will also start coming out. Some expensive players may be released before the auction. Franchises will be given enough time for this.

On the other hand, the auction for the second season of WPL is likely to be held on December 9. The league could be scheduled for February this year. The Indian women's cricket team will be busy in international matches till mid-January. The teams have not received confirmation on whether the WPL will be held in the same city or not. Last year, Mumbai had got the hosting of the league.
