In the match at the DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai, Sri Lanka opted to bat first and were dismissed for 202 runs in 48.4 overs. Bangladesh replied with 195 runs, losing 9 wickets in 50 overs.
Remember that Bangladesh required 12 runs from 12 balls in order to emerge as a winner. Bangladesh lost five wickets within 2 runs, losing the game. Ritu Moni bowled the 49th over of the innings, claiming one wicket for three runs. Sri Lankan skipper Chamari Athapattu bowled the last over and claimed four wickets in her over.

In pursuit of a 203 target, Bangladesh struggled to start, losing three wickets for 44 runs. Sharmeen Akhtar (64*) and captain Nigar Sultana (77) subsequently contributed 82 runs for the fourth wicket, before Akhtar retired hurt.
Captain Nigar put on 50 for the fourth wicket with ShornaAkhtar (19). Atapattu dealt a severe blow to Bangladesh by having Akhtar caught behind by Sanjivani. Bangladesh lost Ritu Moni's wicket at the score of 193, and by the next run, they had gone from victory to defeat.
Rabeya Khan, Nahida Akhtar, Captain Nigar Sultana, and Marufa Akhtar returned to the pavilion in quick succession. For Sri Lanka, captain Chamari Atapattu took the most wickets, taking four. Sugandika Kumari took two wickets. Udeshika Prabodhini took one wicket.
Earlier, Sri Lanka had a poor start. Marufa Akhtar did not allow Vishmi Gunaratne to open his account. From here, Chamari Atapattu and Hasini Perera (85) shared a 72-run partnership for the second wicket. Rabeya Khan dealt a major blow to Sri Lanka by dismissing Chamari LBW.
Bangladesh then made a strong comeback and took the wickets of Harshitha Samarawickrama and Kavisha Dilhari. Nilakshika Silva (37) spent some time at the crease and took the team past 200 runs. For Bangladesh, Shorna Akhtar took the maximum three wickets. Rabeya Khan took two wickets. Marufa Akhtar, Nishita Akhtar and Nahida Akhtar took one wicket each.
