Alia Bhatt's upcoming movie, Darlings, now has a trailer and a release date. The teaser trailer for the newest Indian movie on Netflix, which was made by Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies and Alia Bhatt's Eternal Sunshine and stars Shefali Shah (Delhi Crime), Vijay Verma (Gully Boy), and Roshan Mathew (Choked).
Also, the biggest paid streaming service in the world declared that Darlings would make its global debut on its platform on August 5. Jasmeet K. Reen, who earlier contributed screenplays to Force 2, Fanney Khan, and Pati Patni Aur Woh, makes his feature film debut with Darlings.
Darlings is described as a dark comedy-drama that "explores the lives of a mother-daughter combo struggling to find their place in Mumbai, seeking courage and love in extraordinary circumstances while fighting against all obstacles," according to the debut teaser, which is driven by a voiceover by Alia Bhatt.
Bhatt and Shah play the aforementioned mother-daughter team, with Verma and Mathew playing each of their respective romantic relationships. As you can see, the spouses of the two women are almost the same age. Although it is not explicitly stated in the Darlings trailer, the signs of mistrust are clear.
Darlings Casting
Along with Bhatt, Shah, Verma, and Mathew, the cast of Darlings also features Rajesh Sharma (The Tashkent Files), Vijay Maurya (Gully Boy), Kiran Karmarkar (Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii), Pooja Swaroop (That Girl in Yellow Boots), and Santosh Juvekar (Ek Thi Begum). Under the banner of her company Eternal Sunshine Productions, Bhatt is a producer on the movie alongside Gauri Khan and Gaurav Verma of Red Chillies Entertainment.
The Netflix movie is directed by Reen from a screenplay that she and Parveez Sheikh both co-wrote (Queen, BellBottom). Maurya, Reen, and Sheikh are in charge of facilitating Darling's conversations. Prashant Pillai composed the original composition for the soundtrack, which was directed by Vishal Bhardwaj (Wazir, Sadak 2). The well-known Gulzar is the author of the lyrics to Darling's songs.
Anil Mehta is the film's cinematographer (Jersey, Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar). Editorial director Nitin Baid (Masaan, Gully Boy). Garima Mathur (Attack, Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar), Veera Kapur Ee (Pink, Sardar Udham), and Anirban Sengupta (Darlings) are responsible for the production design and costume design, respectively (Badla, Escape Live).

On August 5, Darlings, a 134-minute movie, will be accessible on Netflix in India and all across the world. Prior to that, the Jitendra Kumar-led film Jaadugar will be made available on Netflix India on July 15.
