According to Downdetector, more than 3.4 lakh reports were received as of 5:23 am. The problem occurred in several countries, including India, the US, and the UK. There has been no official statement from YouTube yet, but YouTube is functioning as usual. #YouTubeDown began trending on YouTube as soon as it went down.
Google-owned video streaming site YouTube went down unexpectedly in the early hours of Thursday morning, impacting millions of users across the globe. The outage monitoring website Downdetector saw over 3.4 lakh reports till 5:23 am Indian time, making it one of YouTube's largest technical breakdowns in recent times.
This issue was noticed not just in India but also in many countries, such as the US and the UK. To date, there has been no official announcement from YouTube about this outage. In the meantime, YouTube is functioning normally. However, as soon as YouTube crashed, #YouTubeDown began trending on X.
According to Downdetector data, 56 percent of users are experiencing video streaming issues, while 32 percent are experiencing problems with the mobile app. Another 12 percent are unable to access the website at all. Many users have reported that their YouTube videos are not loading, while others say they are not seeing search results, and the comment section is blank.

Some users' accounts were automatically logged out, while others saw an error message on the homepage. However, the problem has now been resolved, and YouTube is now running smoothly as before.
As soon as YouTube went down, #YouTubeDown started trending on the social media platform X. Users shared screenshots of the error and expressed their displeasure. Many content creators reported being unable to upload or schedule videos.
