Yamaha is working on making an electric turbo motorcycle engine. The company has recently applied for a patent for an electric turbo on one of its CP3 three-cylinder engine-powered motorcycles. If this engine is seen in Yamaha's motorcycles in the future, then it will become a much more powerful engine than the power generated in the YZF-R9 and MT-09.

It is a system in which an electric motor drives the turbocharger. Turbocharged engines get power from exhaust gases, whereas in electric turbo, the electric motor in the engine is utilized to produce power. Because of this, the rider will not have to suffer from the issue of turbo lag.

The engine of Yamaha provides a swift boost even at low RPM, by virtue of which a great amount of change will be witnessed in the performance of the bike. Yamaha's new engine is a hybrid setup, and it is a combination of an internal combustion engine (ICE) and an electric motor. With it, the electric motor is powering the turbocharger, which boosts the capacity of the engine while also minimizing fuel usage. In parallel, it will also accelerate the bike faster.

After getting this engine in Yamaha's bike, the motorcycle will accelerate faster at low RPM, which will make the riding experience better than before. This will reduce fuel consumption, which will be very beneficial for the riders. Riding will be smooth and comfortable as the problem of turbo lag will be eliminated.
