When the western disturbance was active in Rajasthan during Holi, there was a sudden change in the weather on Thursday. Hail with rain in several districts in the state. In the meantime, there was a storm in several areas. There was thunder and rain in Chaumun in Jaipur. Alwar also experienced rain.

Due to rain and hail, the concern of farmers has increased as it is the time to harvest Rabi crops. According to the Meteorological Department, on March 14 and 15, there is a possibility of light rain with thunder and strong winds at the speed of 30-40 km per hour in Bikaner, Jaipur, and Bharatpur including Jaisalmer, Phalodi, Nagaur, and surrounding areas.

There was light drizzle in certain areas in Bharatpur district and there was hail in certain areas. Due to this, it was hot in the afternoon but after the rains, it became cold. In recent days, the heat was increasing as there was a consistent rise in the maximum temperature. While the weather became cold with a sudden change in weather. In certain villages in Bhusavar, Halena, there was hail.

While the clouds in the afternoon in the Nagaur district gave relief from the heat, at around five in the evening, a hailstorm occurred along with stormy rain in the Chhilra and Gaju villages of the Mundwa tehsil area. Along with this, there was light and moderate rain in some areas including Khajwana, and Dadhwara. The concern of the farmers has increased as it is the time to harvest the Rabi crop. Where there has been heavy rain and hailstorms, there is a possibility of major damage to the crops of cumin, isabgol, and mustard.

According to the Meteorological Department, due to the effect of Western Disturbance, light rain or drizzle may occur in Bikaner and Jaipur divisions. On 14-15 March, light rain with thundershowers and strong winds with speeds of 30-40 kmph are likely in Bikaner, Jaipur, and Bharatpur divisions including Jaisalmer, Phalodi, Nagaur, and surrounding areas in the afternoon.

On 16 March, light rain is likely in the northern parts of Jaipur and Bharatpur divisions, while the weather will remain dry in the rest of the state. The maximum temperature may fall by 2-3 degrees in the next 48 hours. On 14 March, the maximum temperature in Barmer and surrounding areas is likely to remain below 40 degrees Celsius, which may provide some relief from the heat wave.
