Dispute between Punjab Kings owners before IPL 2025 auction, Preity Zinta reaches court

A new dispute has erupted ahead of the mega auction of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in the Punjab Kings franchise. Actress Preity Zinta, a co-owner of KPH Dream Cricket Private Limited, has filed a petition before the Chandigarh District Court against Mohit Burman, another co-owner of the company.

She has also prayed for a ban on the sale of 11.5% shares of Mohit Burman to anyone else. This petition will come up for hearing in the court of Additional Sessions Judge Sanjay Sandhir on August 20.

According to the petition, Mohit Burman is the largest shareholder of KPH Dream Cricket Private Limited Company with a 48% stake while Preity Zinta and Ness Wadia have a 23-23% stake. The remaining shares belong to the fourth shareholder Karan Pal. Punjab Kings is the team of this company in IPL.

According to the petition, Preity Zinta says that Mohit Burman has threatened her that he is going to sell off 11.5 percent of his share to another party. So she has asked for a restraint on Burman selling these shares. On this, the court has issued a notice to Burman to respond.
