In round three of the domestic cricket competition Duleep Trophy 2024, Bharatiya explosive wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson did wonders. In the match going on between India B and India D, the playing for their team, Sanju completed a quick century. This is the first century of Sanju in the Duleep Trophy.
He belted the bowlers of India B all over the park, and his destructive form with the white ball has been witnessed even in this red ball format. Batting in ODI style in Test cricket, Sanju scored 106 runs in just 101 balls with the help of 12 fours and three sixes. With the help of his explosive innings, India D was able to score 349 runs.
In reply, India D had a fine beginning while batting first. Then their innings faltered in the middle. Opener batsman Devdutt Paddikal continued his excellent form and scored 50 runs off 95 balls with the help of eight fours. Besides this, Srikar Bharat played a strong innings of 52 runs off 105 balls while Ricky Bhui scored 56 runs off 87 balls with the help of eight fours.
While Captain Shreyas Iyer was out on a duck, Nishant Sindhu contributed 19 runs. Apart from these, no other batsman of India D could do anything special. For India B, Navdeep Saini took five wickets, spinner Rahul Chahar took three and Mukesh Kumar took one wicket.
