The Reserve Bank of India, established on April 1, 1935, is India's central bank and regulatory body responsible for the Indian banking system. On April 1, 2024, the RBI celebrated its 90th year in the presence of PM Narendra Modi and RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das in Mumbai. 

RBI, being one of the strongest financial backbones of India, wins the tag of "Risk Manager of the Year" by London's Central Banking Publication for improving its risk culture and awareness. The RBI, following its path towards "Viksit Bharat," has gone through many recommendations and challenges, including its accomplishments like successful management of public debt, technological advancements, economic development support, and enhanced public confidence in the banking sector. 

RBI's Executive Director, Shri Manoranjan Mishra, accepted the award and highlighted the institution's hard work in making it happen. India is ranked 5th in the world's GDP rankings in 2024, and according to reports, India will grow to become the world's third-largest economy by 2027. Today, India is developing in each sector with technological advancements and financial growth, and this award is a testament to our growth. As the RBI continues to serve as the "mother of all banks,"  India will soon come under the category of the category of the most developed countries in the world.
