BMW Motorrad India has released the teaser of the new generation R 1300 GS adventure motorcycle ahead of its launch next month. The BMW R 1300 GS made its global debut last year and the ADV has been completely redesigned compared to the R 1250 GS, with extensive upgrades. The new R 1300 GS is BMW's flagship adventure motorcycle.
A new set of LED DRLs with an X motif and a projector lens headlamp in the center will be seen on the 2024 BMW R 1300 GS. The bike appears slimmer and has a flatter fuel tank than it did previously. This is a result of the newly designed sheet metal shell main frame, which has been strengthened and given more space. Die-cast aluminum used to make the rear subframe offers superior stiffness and control. The ADV weighs 12 kg less than the R 1250 GS and has lost weight in comparison to its predecessor.
The new 1,300 cc boxer twin-cylinder engine generates 149 Nm of peak torque at 6500 rpm and 145 bhp at 7750 rpm. A 6-speed gearbox is mated to the motor. Power figures have increased by 9 bhp and 6 Nm. There have also been upgrades to the suspension, which include an EVO Telelever unit at the front and a new EVO Paralever unit at the rear.
On the features front, the BMW R 1300 GS comes with a 6.5-inch TFT instrument console, keyless ignition, and 4 riding modes. The Riding Assistant package includes radar-based adaptive cruise control, front collision warning, lane change warning, and active cruise control.
