IMD: Heatwave in 11 states and rain forecast for three days at many places; Read more

The effect of severe heat can be seen today in Chhattisgarh, Eastern Rajasthan, Haryana, Odisha, Punjab and Delhi. There is a possibility of light rain and thunderstorm in many states including Bihar and Jharkhand.

Today, a heat wave alert has been imposed in Delhi. The temperature in Delhi can go up by 2-3 degree Celsius to 40-42 degree Celsius. A heat wave alert has also been sounded on Friday and Saturday.
According to the information given by the Meteorological Department, the effect of severe heat can be seen in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Eastern Rajasthan, Haryana, Odisha, Punjab and Delhi today. There is a possibility of light rain and thunderstorm in many areas of Bihar and Jharkhand between 24 and 26 April. IMD has issued a yellow alert for Kishanganj and Araria.
