A woman has been arrested for allegedly killing her three-day-old daughter in Maharashtra's Latur. A police officer gave this information on Saturday. There is an allegation on the woman that in the desire for a son, the accused woman killed her daughter.
A 25-year-old woman, a resident of Holi in Lohara tehsil in Osmanabad, gave birth to a baby girl on December 26 at a primary health center in Kasar Jwala village, an official of Gotegaon police station said. He already had a girl. He strangled the girl with a handkerchief three days later i.e. on 29 December.
Sub-Inspector Kishore Kamble said that after questioning the matter, it was revealed that the woman had started getting upset after the birth of her second child. After registering a case of murder, the woman was arrested on Friday evening.
