Meta fined over 10000 thousand crores in Europe, case related to data transfer

A fine of US $ 1.3 billion (about 10,700 crore Indian rupees) has been imposed on Meta, a company running a social media platform on behalf of the European Union. The reason behind this was that the company was sending users' data to America. Tell me, this fine has been imposed regarding data privacy.
This is the biggest fine ever imposed on a company by the European Union after implementing stricter data privacy laws in Europe. Earlier, Amazon was fined US$865 million (746 million euros) for breaching data protection rules.
The Irish Data Protection Commission has given Meta five months to stop sending users' personal data to the US. Along with this, the company has also been asked to find a solution regarding the personal data of the store users in the US.
In this decade-old case, Meta had earlier warned to stop the services of users in Europe. However, the company has clarified that the company's services continue in Europe.
Commenting on the fine, Nick Clegg, META's Head of Global Affairs, said the decision was deeply flawed and unjust. It also sets a dangerous precedent for other companies sending data between Europe and the US.
This whole matter is related to European countries. European regulators are worried that if users' data reaches America through these companies, then this data can reach American security agencies as well.
