Kawasaki will launch its 2 new electric bikes soon, first seen at EICMA show

Kawasaki is all set to launch its 2 electric bikes soon. On the other hand, Royal Enfield is also working fast in the direction of electric bikes. Kawasaki showcased two electric motorcycles at the EICMA show in Milan last year. Now according to the reports, both electric bikes are ready for launch.
The pair of electric motorcycles from the Japanese brand has begun their homologation process in Australia, reports say, indicating that it could be one of the first international markets to receive a Kawasaki e-bike. The two bikes have been named Ninja E-1 and Z E-1 in the homologation filing.
The bodywork of both the electric motorcycles is said to be similar to the brand's 400cc counterparts, the Ninja 400 and the Z400. While the prototype shown last year generates power of about 15 bhp. It is speculated that the Z e-1 may weigh around 135 kg, while the Ninja e-1 weighs 140 kg.
Kawasaki has not yet revealed whether both the e-motorcycles will come with removable batteries or not. However, earlier reports have claimed that two removable battery packs can be given in this upcoming electric bike. Each will weigh 12 kg and have a combined output of 3 kWh. If true, then both electric motorcycles could come with great range and great top speed. Where after the launch, it will become the first mass-market electric street bike of the brand.
