Introducing Mahindra's new Scorpio Classic SUV

Mahindra & Mahindra has unveiled its new Scorpio Classic SUV. A few weeks after the launch of the Scorpio-N SUV in India, the company introduced the Mahindra Scorpio Classic, which is an updated version of the old generation Scorpio SUV.
The company had already said Mahindra would sell the older Scorpio under the Scorpio Classic badge and the more premium Scorpio-N. The Scorpio Classic SUV will be offered in two variants namely Classic S and Classic S11 and its price will be announced on August 20.
Actually, no change has been made in the basic look of the old Scorpio model. However, the Scorpio Classic gets a redesigned grille with chrome slats and a new Mahindra logo at the centre. The bumper and bonnet of the SUV have been made bolder and more attractive than before. New DRLs are found on the side of the grille. At the rear, the SUV gets the signature Scorpio tower LED tail lamps. Also, the SUV gets redesigned 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.
The new Scorpio Classic gets a dual-tone theme inside the cabin. The center console has a wood-theme finish. Apart from the 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, there are other premium features as well.
Mahindra will offer the Scorpio Classic in five exterior colour options. It includes colours like Red Rays, Napoli Back, Dsat Silver, Pearl White and Galaxy Grey.
The company has introduced a 2.2-litre Gen-2 mHawk diesel engine in the Mahindra Scorpio Classic SUV. This engine generates maximum power of 132 PS and peak torque of 300 Nm. Mahindra says that the new engine is more than 50% lighter than the old one and can give 14% better mileage.
