Hero MotoCorp-owned Surge EV Electric Mobility Company is about to launch the S32 2W-cum-3W in India soon. The company has also patented its design. The company can launch it sometime in the year 2025. Recently a sketch of its design has come to the fore. Know what features the Hero Surge S32 convertible electric scooter can come with.

The Surge S32 is a hybrid vehicle, consisting of an electric scooter. This electric scooter serves as the front wheel for the non-automatic rear module. It will also be given its own battery pack and electric motor. This will be done so that both the scooter and the non-automated rear module have independent powertrains.

It will be made available in several variants. It will be brought with a three-wheeler auto rickshaw (S32 PV), a three-wheeler cargo vehicle (S32 LD), a three-wheeler covered cargo vehicle (S32 HD), and flatbed three-wheeler cargo vehicle (S32 FB) variants.

The Surge S32 is an electric scooter and an electric 3W commercial vehicle put together on a single platform thing that has never been tried so far. In fact, this has compelled the company to invent, in coordination with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, a new vehicle category termed L2-5. The new category represents two-wheeler and three-wheeler combi module vehicles, wherein there is a scooter L2 leading with a non-self-propelled rear module.

The appearance of the electric scooter part Surge S32 looks like a family scooter with a youthful design. It gets shock absorbers on both wheels to take the weight of the non-self-propelled rear module. It gets a disc brake at the front, unique for a three-wheeler CV. Its rear module rests on the scooter while the operator rides on it sitting on the scooter seat.

The instrumentation of the scooter is also carried forward in three-wheeler mode. The rickshaw has an all-metal body and is mounted on an AMSEP skateboard with a strong ladder-frame chassis. The Surge S32 promises to be convertible from a two-wheeler to a three-wheeler in less than 3 min in any road condition.
