Heavy rain warning in Rajasthan today, Meteorological Department issued red alert in 8 districts

Rajasthan is highly active in terms of monsoon today. IMD has issued a red alert for very heavy rain in 8 districts. Red alert has been sounded in Baran, Bhilwara, Bundi, Chittorgarh, Jhalawar, Kota, Rajsamand, Sirohi, and Pali. According to the Meteorological Department, rainfall of over 205 mm is expected in these districts. Meanwhile, an orange alert of very heavy rain has been sounded in 10 other districts.

According to the Jaipur Meteorological Center, there may be very heavy to very heavy rain at some places in the Jodhpur division on 14 and 15 July. At the same time, some reduction in rain activities can be seen in the state from July 18.

A low-pressure system is formed over eastern Madhya Pradesh, and a cyclonic circulation is formed from Bikaner to Jaipur in Rajasthan. The monsoon turf line is also passing through its normal position. Due to these systems, there is a possibility of very heavy rain in the state for the next two days. During the last 24 hours, the highest rainfall in the state was 131 mm in Shahbad of Baran district. 115 mm was recorded in Jhalawar and 63.8 mm in Kota. At the same time, heavy rain has also occurred in many districts, including Bhilwara, Bundi, Tonk, Ajmer, Jodhpur, Banswara, Jalore, and Pali.
