Manipur has been simmering since last year. More than a year has passed since the violence started between the Kuki and Meitei community, but the situation has not yet returned to normal. Claims of peace restoration are falling apart. On September 1, there was an attack with drones, bombs and weapons in Kotruk in West Imphal. The government's concern has increased due to drones. In such a situation, Rajya Sabha MP Sanajaoba formed a high-level committee and held a meeting with its members to investigate.

The meeting was held on Monday
Additional Director General of Police (DGP) Ashutosh Kumar Sinha, Major General SS Karthikeya, Major General Ravaroop Singh, IPS officer Vipul Kumar and Deputy Inspector General (DIG) JK Birdi were present in the high-level meeting held on Monday.

Five-member committee formed
The Rajya Sabha MP said on the social media platform, 'A five-member high-level committee headed by Additional DGP (International) was formed to investigate the drone used by Kuki militants. It will investigate the drone used by Kuki militants, in which a woman was killed and several others including three policemen were injured in Kotruk village of Manipur. '

Earlier, Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh condemned the latest incident of violence. He also said that bomb attacks on civilians and security forces are a terrorist act.

This is the matter
The militants targeted the lower areas Kotruk and Kadangband valley from the hilltop on Sunday and Monday and first opened indiscriminate fire. After that, heavy bombs were dropped from drones. The sudden attack spread panic in the village and people were seen looking for safe places to save their lives. Two people were killed in the attack. Nine others including two security personnel were injured. In a statement issued by the Manipur Home Ministry, it was said that the state government has received information that the incident was allegedly carried out by Kuki militants.
