England defeated West Indies by four wickets, took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series

England won the second T20 match against the West Indies in Bristol on Sunday by four wickets. With this victory, England has taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series. Batting first after losing the toss, the West Indies scored 196 runs for six wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Johnson Charles scored 47 runs, and captain Hope added 49 runs for the West Indies. In reply, England reached the target with nine balls to spare. Jos Buttler scored 47 runs, while Harry Brook contributed 34 runs.

After losing the toss and batting first, the West Indies had a disastrous start, losing opener Evin Lewis on the very first ball. However, a partnership of 90 runs ensued between Johnson Charles and Shai Hope. For the West Indies, Charles scored 47, Hope scored 49, Rovman Powell made 34, and Jason Holder remained unbeaten with 29 runs off 9 balls.

If Charles and Hope had batted more aggressively, their score could have surpassed 225; however, they managed only 196 runs for six wickets in the allotted 20 overs. For England, Luke Wood took two wickets for 25 runs in four overs, while Brydon Carse, Jacob Bethell, and Adil Rashid each claimed one wicket.

Chasing a target of 197 runs, England suffered an early blow at 9 runs when Jamie Smith was dismissed for just four runs by Jason Holder. Subsequently, Ben Duckett and Jos Buttler bolstered the team's innings by adding 63 runs for the second wicket, with Duckett scoring 30 runs off 18 balls before being dismissed.
