Tesla's Investor Day 2023 event was held at the Gigafactory in Austin, Texas. During this, CEO Elon Musk presented his third master plan. It was told that Tesla's target is to stabilize the Sustainable Energy Economy.
To develop the production of renewable energy. For this, 10 trillion dollars (about 800 lakh crore rupees) will be required. This amount is about 10% of the world's GDP. This is less than half of what the internal combustion (IC) economy currently spends.
Musk pointed out that less than 0.2% of the world's land would be needed to generate the necessary solar and wind energy. At the same time, he also told that the third master plan, with the help of Artificial Intelligence (AI), will help in increasing the production capacity of the company. Tesla is also going to set up a Gigifactory in Mexico.
Musk's master plan aims to establish a fully electric and autonomous transportation system. With this system, electric vehicles will replace vehicles running on petrol and diesel. He also expressed the possibility of aircraft and water ships running on electricity or charging.
Tesla executives Lars Morawi and Franz von Holzhausen talk about the challenges of manufacturing the Cybertruck out of stainless steel. Morawi explained that the lessons learned from the Tesla Cybertruck will help the company make its next-generation vehicle more efficient. And Holzhausen announced that the Cyber Truck will arrive later this year. Lakhs of its units have already been booked.
During the event, Tesla engineers revealed that the company will halve the assembly cost of future cars. Along with this, Tesla also showed a new video, in which the Tesla robot was running independently and without any support frame. However, this was not a live performance. Despite difficulties finding the off-the-shelf actuators and motors used in the humanoid robot platform, Musk is hopeful of a human-powered robot soon.
