Delhi's Olympic medal winners will get 7 crores and deserving students will be provided laptops
Delhi Minister Ashish Sood also gave information about the decision taken in the interest of the students. He said, "School students playing sports at the state and national level will be given an incentive of Rs 5 lakh from class 6th to 12th for coaching and training.

A cabinet meeting was conducted on Tuesday at the Delhi Secretariat, headed by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. In it, significant decisions were given a go-ahead in many fields such as education and sports. The Delhi government has made a decision in the cabinet that players will receive 7 crores for Olympic gold, 5 crores for silver, and 3 crores for bronze. Besides this, deserving students will be provided laptops by the government.
Delhi government minister Ashish Sood said, "A cabinet meeting was held under the leadership of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. In this, many important decisions have been taken for the people of Delhi, youth, school education, and development. The most important decision has been taken in the education department. Under the leadership of the Chief Minister and guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Delhi Government has decided that Rs 7 crore will be given to the players who win a gold medal in Olympics and Paralympics, Rs 5 crore for winning a silver medal, and Rs 3 crore for winning a bronze medal."
He further said, "The prize money for Asian Games and Para Asian Games will be increased from 2.5 crore to 3 crore, for silver medal from 1.5 crore to 2 crore, and for bronze medal, it will be given Rs 1 crore. Also, the prize money for Commonwealth Games has been increased to Rs 2 crore, Rs 1.5 crore, and Rs 1 crore. For the National Games, Rs 11 lakh will be given to each medal winner."
He said that the players who bring gold and silver medals in the Olympics and Paralympics will be provided Group A jobs in the Delhi government, and those who bring bronze will be provided Group B appointments. In the same way, the players who win in other sports, Commonwealth and National Games, will also be provided jobs in other categories.

He said, "School students playing sports at the state and national level will be given an incentive of Rs 5 lakh from class VI to 12 for coaching and training. Top players playing at the national and international level will be given Rs 20 lakh every year. Apart from this, the cabinet has also approved the Chief Minister Digital Education Scheme for free laptops, under which about 1200 meritorious deprived students passing class 10 will be given i7 laptops."
