DA is granted, one crore employees-pensioners will increase by this much

There is little chance of increase in dearness allowance / dearness relief given to more than one crore employees and pensioners of the central government this month. According to sources, there is a strong possibility of a four percent increase in dearness allowance and dearness relief before Diwali next month i.e. in October. In the second week of October, the Union Cabinet may approve the file for increase in dearness allowance. Earlier it was believed that in September, the central government could give the gift of DA / DR increase to its employees and pensioners. At present, the rate of DA / DR is 50 percent. If there is an increase of 4 percent in it, then this rate will reach 54.

If the basic salary of an employee is Rs 18 thousand, then according to 54 percent dearness allowance, his salary will increase by about Rs 720 every month. According to 50 percent DA is Rs 9000, by 54 percent it will become Rs 9720. That is, after the increase in the rate of DA, his salary will increase by Rs 720.
