Cracks in 849 houses in Joshimath: CM Dhami meets Amit Shah

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday. Dhami has informed the Home Minister about the current situation in Joshimath. This meeting lasted for about half an hour in the Ministry of Home Affairs. After meeting Shah, Dhami said that the Char Dham Yatra would start in the next 3 to 4 months. He told that Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath Dham are included in the Char Dham.
Cracks have appeared in 849 buildings in Joshimath. So far 250 families have been shifted to safer places. A temporary relief camp of 615 rooms has been set up, where the victims have been kept.
CM Dhami said that 65 to 70% of people in Joshimath are doing their work normally, but some people are spreading rumours about it. Such rumours are not good for the country either. Auli is still a tourist destination in Uttarakhand, where people are continuously coming to visit.
Dhami briefed the Home Minister about the situation in Joshimath and the work being done to rescue the people. New places are being looked for for the victims of Joshimath, it has also been discussed. CM Dhami said that the Home Minister has assured financial assistance. Dhami was asked whether any report has been submitted to Amit Shah regarding Joshimath, to which the CM said that when the final report comes, it will be given to the Centre.
