Complaint against Irish player Amy Maguire playing against India, ICC is investigating
IND Women vs IRE Women: Left-arm off-spinner 18-year-old Amy Maguire made her international debut in 2023 and has played a total of 20 matches across formats for Ireland, taking 25 wickets.



Ireland's left-arm spinner Amy Maguire has been reported for suspicious bowling action during the first ODI of the ICC Women's Championship Series played against India in Rajkot on Friday.
The ICC said in a statement that the match officials' report, which was submitted to the Ireland team management, raised concerns over the legality of the 18-year-old's bowling action. It said that Maguire's bowling action will now be investigated under the relevant ICC process. She is allowed to continue bowling in international cricket until the results of the test are out.
Left-arm off-spinner 18-year-old Maguire made her international debut in 2023 and has played a total of 20 matches across formats for Ireland, taking 25 wickets. However, Cricket Ireland has come out in support of Amy after she was officially notified by the ICC. Her 'suspected illegal bowling action' was reported by the match officials after the ODI against India.
